What is domestic Abuse/violence?Domestic abuse/violence can happen to anyone, regardless of gender, race, religion or sexual orientation and can take many forms. The abusive behaviour can be a single incident or pattern of incidents of controlling, coercive, threatening behaviour, violence or abuse between those who are, or have been, intimate partners or family members.
This can include, but is not limited to:
- physical or
- sexual abuse
- violent or threatening behaviour
- financial or economic abuse
- psychological, emotional or other abuse
- harassment and stalking.
